Hailing from a conservative South Indian family, Suman Ranganathan came to limelight with 'Fareb' in 1996. Though the film bombed at Box-office, Suman somehow managed to stay in the Bollywood. Known for her 'Bikini flaunting' role in 'Aa Ab Laut Chalein', She tied knot with model Gautam Kapoor. But, it didn't take much time before she realised that she has made a huge mistake and the couple parted their ways. So, Suman is back in Bollywood and trying really hard to make up for the lost time.
This dusky beauty has never shied away from the bare-dare act to win audiences over. Right now she is working in director Jai Prakash's 'Market' which deals with Prostitution. Suman is playing the prostitute who sells her body to make both ends meet. "While the subject demands a great deal of exposure and intimate scenes, we may not be able to show all that on screen. But those expecting a saree-clad damsel are likely to be disappointed.", she says.
Suman is very much aware that she has lost ground, to the likes of Bipasha, when she opted to get married but she is trying everything possible to pull the things back. "Showbiz is all about glamour. People come to see larger-than-life women in all their resplendent glory and no actress can afford to disappoint them", she says. Right now she is all inspired by Bong beauty's hot act. "I am eager to take on Bipasha at her own game. I have sexier body than she has and when I am through, people are sure to sit up and take notice", she quips.
